Sea Cliff Firehouse
Historic window rehabilitation and exterior facade repairs at a 1931 Tudor Revival-style landmark firehouse.
Client / Agency: Incorporated Village of Sea Cliff
Fidelis restored 134 original steel casement windows and completed masonry facade repairs at the Sea Cliff Firehouse, a locally designated landmark listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places.
The work required careful attention to historic character and material matching. Bricks were sourced from four separate suppliers to match the original dark brick blend used nearly 90 years earlier.
The original steel windows were removed and refurbished offsite, including paint removal, glazing and sealant replacement, hardware repair, and sourcing of matching hardware where required.
The completed restoration preserved the building's historic and structural integrity while improving energy efficiency. The project received the 2020 Project Excellence Award.
