Fashion Institute of Technology
New dining hall and fashion showroom construction supporting a leading New York educational institution.
Client / Agency: Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY)
The project included construction of two separate buildings on the 28th Street side of FIT: a new dining hall and a fashion exhibition hall known as The Great Hall.
The scope covered piling, grade beams, waterproofing, reinforced concrete slabs, structural steel, glazed block exterior work, built-up roofing, dunnage steel, and two ThyssenKrupp elevators.
Interior work included specialized gypsum wallboard, acoustical ceilings, kitchen cabinetry, wood wall panels, terrazzo floors, tile, and painting.
